Description:
We are currently seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our HR team in support of the NRA's large, multi-state employee base. This position will: facilitate employee claims resolution, handle enrollment issues, answer inquires from current employees and new hires, serve as the company liaison to various benefits carriers, assist in processing of vendor premium payments and reconciliation of premiums to payroll/HR database, coordinate employee deductions with payroll, maintain benefit information in our database, design and generate reports to ensure the accuracy of benefits data. Processes Flexible Spending Account (FSA) reimbursements and Workers Comp claims. Will participate in event planning. Assists with other HR projects/tasks (recruitment, training, payroll) as assigned.
The ideal candidate has a broad background in benefits administration and is self-directed, service- and detail-oriented, and able to multi-task under time constraints. Requires strong analytical, relationship-building, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential. Must have knowledge of and direct experience with: medical, dental, prescription, disability insurances; FSA processing; OSHA; Worker's Compensation; DB/DC plans. Strong competency with relevant employment laws and regulatory statutes imperative. Excellent PC, HRIS (including report creation) skills required.
BA/BS in Business Administration/Human Resources or other relevant field; 2-5 years direct experience in a benefits administration role. PHR and/or CBP/CEBS certification strongly preferred. Strong commitment to professionalism, excellence, and teamwork is imperative. Ability to work in a high pressure environment while maintaining composure, courtesy and humor is required. Description:
SUMMARY
Implements and coordinates established advertising practices and policies to ensure the accurate and timely placement of paid and in-house (NRA) advertising in the Publications-produced NRA magazines and e-media properties that meet industry and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Verifies accuracy of all orders for advertising space to ensure adherence with industry, and NRA legal and financial guidelines.
Integrates and verifies all required data entry and reports generated for all paid and in-house advertising records on customized advertising computer system. Forwards orders and supporting material to appropriate Production and Advertising Operations staff. Anticipates all deadlines well in advance and schedules related activities accordingly. Responsible for accurate billing of all advertising space in the magazines and e-media properties, to include coordination of the mailing of invoices and checking copies. Maintains advertising agency, advertising and sales force contact information. Reviews and investigates complaints about and from advertisers, and seeks resolutions with supervisors guidance. Checks "for position only" (FPO) books, bluelines and proofs for correct advertisement placement, key numbers and other changes required. Assists with reconciliation of all advertising in magazines and e-media properties against invoices to ensure accuracy of both billing and content as they relate to advertising. Assists advertising sales representatives with certain activities concerning orders for paid advertising (for example, quote preparation, insertion order corrections, prepayments, questions/concerns on material, etc.). Responsible for correspondence concerning advertising contracts/insertion orders. Communicates with advertising sales representatives on policy matters and operating procedures for related advertising functions. Handles routine correspondence and reports, and maintains files. Records all pertinent telephone and in-person conversations on any advertisements. Follows up with appropriate correspondence. Assists Accounts Receivable in solving credit and billing concerns for all advertisers. Coordinates with Production and Advertising Operations supervisors on advertisement reproduction material status, placements, changes and extensions. Backs up other Production and Advertising Operations staff on the telephones. Extended hours required. Travels as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
Works closely with advertising sales representatives and their staffs on a daily basis to ensure accurate information and billing of all paid advertisements in the magazines and e-media properties. Interfaces with other Publications staff on advertising in the magazines and e-media properties. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Arts or Science degree, or equivalent work experience required. Minimum two years' experience in online trafficing with an industry standard ad-serving vendor (DART, Atlas,Ad Juggler, etc.) Must also have print experience. Data entry knowledge and experience required. Customer relations experience desired. Advertising operations experience at a majpr publisher or digital advertising firm a plus.
Attention to detail and accuracy mandatory. Ability to handle figures with high degree of accuracy; typing and word processing with high degree of accuracy. Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required. Macintosh experience a plus. Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills required. Ability to skillfully handle multiple telephone calls at the same time. Provide administrative support to the Executive Director - Office of
Advancement to ensure the best use of his time toward the goals of the NRA,
while enhancing the operation and reputation of the office. Efficiently
coordinate activities with a minimum of supervision to ensure that the Office of
Advancement is responsive to the needs of the Association. Manager a high volume
of work that is both deadline-sensitive and confidential. Extensive contact with
Officers, Board members, high profile/VIP contacts, staff, NRA members, and
affiliated organizations.
Maintain effective working relationships through timely communication with
Executive Director, Advancement Staff, NRA staff, members of the Board of
Directors and other affiliated organizations. Manager calendars, daily schedules
and electronic files for Executive Director to ensure efficient management of
required information. Responsible for Director's travel arrangements, detailed
itineraries and other materials. Determine most cost effective and efficient
means of travel.
Assist in preparations for meetings for the Board of Directors, leading
fundraising volunteer boards, and Annual Meetings, including coordinating
packets, and boxing and delivering materials as needed. Supervise and is
responsible for all catering arrangements for assigned meetings and events.
Utilize independent judgment and good taste on all issues surrounding the
catering arrangements.
Independently write, coordinate, edit, proofread, and finalize error-free
correspondence for the Executive Director's signature. Coordinate, keyboard,
format, proofread and produce error-free reports, documents and speeches
initiated by the Office of Advancement, successfully meeting stringent deadlines
and reporting requirements.

Description:
Represents the National Rifle Association with members and affiliates; manages Friends of NRA fundraising activities; and promotes NRA programs, services and membership recruitment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Organizes and administers the Friends of NRA (FNRA) fundraising volunteer committees, banquets and special events.
2) Coordinates the distribution of state FNRA grant applications; serves as Secretary of the State Fund Committee; and ensures compliance with all requirements of the FNRA state grants.
3) Provides leadership, training and direction to the NRA volunteers, FNRA committee officers and State Fund Committee through regular meetings, workshops and FNRA State Conferences.
4) Serves as a liaison between the NRA and affiliated clubs, state associations, and other state and local organizations.
5) Serves as a clearinghouse for requests of information regarding membership services and benefits, range development, legislative issues and all NRA programs.

Acts as representative for the National Rifle Association on an area level to NRA members, volunteers, clubs and associations. Manages fund-raising efforts, promotes membership development programs and promotes NRA programs and services. Implements fund-raising for The NRA Foundation through organizing volunteer committees and coordinating Friends of NRA banquets and special events. Coordinates the solicitation and distribution of applications for Friends of NRA State Fund grants and serves as secretary for the State Fund Committee. Insures compliance with all of the conditions of allocation for all The NRA Foundation grants. Solicits gifts and donations to The NRA Foundation endowments, ensuring follow-up and donor recognition. Establishes a network of volunteers by identifying and recruiting select NRA activists as Field Support Team members. Trains Field Support Team members, Friends of NRA committee members and other volunteers by conducting an annual workshop as well as other training as needed. Coordinates the efforts of all volunteers to ensure accomplishment of area goals and objectives. Ensures NRA presence at all major gun shows, sports shows and related exhibits/events by coordinating the efforts of Field Support Team members and other volunteers. Promotes NRA membership recruitment programs and services by networking with the state associations, NRA affiliated clubs and retail dealers; promotes and recruits Business Alliance memberships, actively seeks out and recruits shooting sports clubs as NRA affiliated clubs. Serves as a clearing house for the numerous requests for information regarding NRA membership services and programs. Prepares and submits in a timely manner all reports including; Weekly Reports, Call Reports, Time Cards, Friends of NRA financial reports, State Fund Committee reports, Expense Reports and others as may be required. Promote shooting sports programs to encourage the participation of the American public by guiding established shooting clubs and other organizations in the implementation of shooting sports programs especially directed at youth and women. In concert with the Senior Field Representative and Regional Director, establishes annual goals and objectives for the respective area. Ensures efficient accomplishment of all assigned tasks within the budget parameters established for the area.

Financial Coordinator - Field Ops

Description:
Responsible for providing technical support to the National Manager – Finance & Operations in areas of reconciling and reporting the results of events held by the Friends of NRA program. Additional support is required with various spreadsheets, reports and other administrative duties.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Finalize events held by Friends of NRA committees and complete all necessary work that stems from the finalization process in an accurate and timely manner.
* Verify all required paperwork is received for each Friends of NRA event and filed appropriately in event folders maintained by the Finance Department
* Ensure the correct auction totals are reported, correct sales tax is collected, committee check and credit cards match financial report, committee is charged for appropriate merchandise, miscellaneous expenses are reported, contribution receipts are collected for donations/sponsors.
* Compare event orders, shipping invoices, return invoices and sales summaries to determine if the committee is charged for the correct merchandise. Enter merchandise in the database as sold, not sold, damaged or not received.
* Prepare a financial report, reporting any differences in net income from the original financial report submitted. Print copies of the financial report and merchandise report to close the event.
* Prepare a letter for the committee chairman that reports the finalized net proceeds for the event
2. Work with the NRA Field Representatives and volunteer committee members to resolve reconciliation issues and provide assistance in an accurate and timely manner.
* Ensure committees receive necessary start up funding, facility advances and other various check requests
* Communicate with Field Representative when finalizing events about outstanding paperwork, bounced checks, merchandise questions and other issues. Notify Field Representatives of what is due as needed through the weekly mailing.
* Provide other requested financial support and guidance
3. Maintain organized and accurate committee files.
* File mail in appropriate event files.
* Update event files as new mail arrives, additional checks are received, additional check requests are processed, etc.
4. Prepare ongoing, weekly and monthly logs designed to track income, expenses and advances in an accurate and timely manner.
* Verify that all logs are maintained with accuracy and are distributed to the appropriate persons on time or as requested
* Track committee tax underpayments for previous years, obtain sales tax rates for each committee and ensure the appropriate tax is collected for each event. Track start up checks, facility advances, event financial information and other financial information as requested
* Fulfill additional requests from National Managers, Managing Director, NRA Field Representatives and other employees as requested
5. Track and respond to all chargebacks and retrievals, in accurate and timely manner.
* Ensure all responses are done by deadline.
* Work with Field Staff to prevent further chargebacks/retrievals.
* Inform Asst. Financial Manager of Treasurey of any discrepancies.
6. Assist National Manager – Finance & Operations with various tasks such as Mid/End Year Inventory, IRS audit, closing each month and other tasks as needed.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
SCOPE
Visibility with NRA Staff, Friends of NRA volunteers, vendors and the general public. Requires work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision. National travel occasionally required. Weekend work and additional hours are necessary with busy season or travel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associates or Bachelor=s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. Administrative experience and relevant computer skills necessary. Knowledge in general accounting, auditing and finance helpful.

8. Transport materials and boxes between various departments in a timely manner as directed.

NRA Advancement Officer - Gifts of Firearms
|
Description:
Develop strategies, implement, grow, and manage the Gifts of Firearms Program. Provide support to all fundraising staff to identify, solicit, and steward donors/prospects interested in making a gifts of firearms. Build positive relationships with major and planned gift prospects and donors for the benefit of the National Rifle Association. Participate as a member of the Advancement team to build the Advancement program according to individual talents and skills.
Implement marketing strategies to build upon and expand the existing Gifts of Firearms Program. Write and submit policy guidelines relative to the Gifts of Firearms Program for consideration and approval by the Gift Acceptance Committee. Facilitate communication among donors, The National Firearms Museum staff, designated auction houses, Advancement Officers, Office of Advancement team members, Gift Acceptance Committee members, and the Director, Strategic Giving. Manage administrative issues for the Gifts of Firearms Program including shipping arrangements, reporting on firearm inventories, proceeds from sales, etc. Facilitate gifts of firearms and consult with the Director of Planned Giving as directed, where the gift or conditions of the gift are outside the stated guidelines of the Gift Acceptance Committee or where the benefit of the gift is questionable for any reason. Develop and adhere to an approved annual budget to provide funding for the efficient accomplishment of assigned tasks.
Required:
Four-year undergraduate degree or ten years combined experience in fundraising with a non-profit or equivalent in
business, financial services or management.
A conversant and knowledgeable facilitator in the area of firearms and gifts of firearms.
Knowledgeable of charitable gifting techniques involving firearms.
Ability to build personal long-term relationships with strategic giving/planned gift prospects and donors.
Willingness to learn the most sophisticated strategic and planned gift fundraising techniques and strategies.
Experience with successful one-on-one cultivation and solicitation of prospects for gifts of $5,000 or similar experience.
Ability to develop and implement dynamic plans to identify, cultivate, and solicit strategic and planned gift prospects.
Ability to use existing MS Office applications for personal administrative support and databases for prospect management.
Ability to travel 10 days per month within.
Ability to work on weekends as necessary.
Preferred:
