Provide administrative and program support to Museum Director and Museum Departments to ensure efficient daily operations.

Co-op Group Program Coordinator

Description:
Provide professional assistance to department and manager on daily tasks and projects relating to the NRA Youth Program utilization by co-op groups such as JROTC, VFW, American League, YMCA and Outstanding Achievement Youth Award Program.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Within department guidelines, market NRA membership, NRA training programs, competitions programs and the NRA Youth Club Program to youth, conservation organizations and state DNRs. Establish long-term goals and develop a marketing strategy within department guidelines, to ensure orderly growth of the programs.
2. Within departmental guidelines, represent the NRA at national meetings, trade shows, competitions and training programs as directed by Department Manager.
3. Develop, within departmental guidelines, opportunities to utilize or modify existing programs with the approval of that program manager for use by co-op groups.
4. Become familiar with all NRA programs and departments in a timely fashion.
5. Provide pertinent answers, information, services, and materials to members and program volunteers in the field in an accurate and timely manner.
6. Respond to all inquires and requests in an accurate and timely manner.
7. Assist with and conduct NRA Hunter Clinics, NRA Coach Schools, NRA Basic Firearms Courses, Instructor Training Courses or Training Counselor Workshops, as requested.
8. Coordinate inter-departmental cooperative efforts with Membership, Field Operations, Competitions and Media Relations Divisions as directed.
9. Compose correspondence and develop forms, press releases, promotional pieces, mailing components and other informational pieces within departmental guidelines.
10. Responsible for input of co-op group information into the NRA Youth Leader database and ensure that information is accurate.
11. Assist in promoting the NRA Youth Program activities to other NRA divisions and publications in a timely manner.
12. Responsible, within departmental guidelines, for the Outstanding Achievement Youth Award Program.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
SCOPE

Position requires frequent local and national travel including weekends. Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 lbs. of materials is required. Description:
Acts as representative for the National Rifle Association on an area level to NRA members, volunteers, clubs and associations. Manages fund-raising efforts, promotes membership development programs and promotes NRA programs and services. Implements fund-raising for The NRA Foundation through organizing volunteer committees and coordinating Friends of NRA banquets and special events. Coordinates the solicitation and distribution of applications for Friends of NRA State Fund grants and serves as secretary for the State Fund Committee. Insures compliance with all of the conditions of allocation for all The NRA Foundation grants. Solicits gifts and donations to The NRA Foundation endowments, ensuring follow-up and donor recognition. Promote shooting sports programs to encourage the participation of the American public by guiding established shooting clubs and other organizations in the implementation of shooting sports programs especially directed at youth and women. In concert with the Senior Field Representative and Regional Director, establishes annual goals and objectives for the respective area. Ensures efficient accomplishment of all assigned tasks within the budget parameters established for the area.
Responsible for large sums of money on a regular basis and the care and maintenance of NRA equipment. Position requires frequent travel and overtime work, including weekends and evenings. Position functions with minimal day-to-day supervision. Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Previous experience and exposure to fund-raising, volunteer recruitment and management is required. Other useful skills include, but are not limited to, public speaking, working knowledge of computers and experience in sales and marketing. Organizational and time management skills are required.

Law Enforcement Curriculum Developer

Description:
Develops and writes highly technical law enforcement specific firearm instructor curriculum for the NRA's Law Enforcement Activities Division's Firearm Instructor Development programs, which are intended for public and private law enforcement and the U.S. Military. Researches, develops and writes, utilizing established recognized industry training standards and current Supreme Court case law rulings, and other related material to produce materials for the Firearms Instructors Development training programs. Reviews, updates as necessary and develops training aid material(s) so as to assure NRA's courses are current and applicable. Provides, on request, technical assistance to public and private law enforcement agencies, the U.S. military and their respective agencies. Responsible for attending both regional and annual meetings and conferences of varied law enforcement and/or law enforcement training associations as assigned. Responsible for the identification of current and future training needs assessments, as well as the formulation and implementation of such approved training changes.
High School diploma required. BA/BS in law enforcement or communications field desired. Minimum of 10 years as a sworn law enforcement officer (military experience alone cannot be substituted). Ideal candidate will possess minimum 10 years of sworn law enforcement officer experience, coupled with military experience. Minimum of 5 years as a law enforcement specific firearm instructor required, preferably as a full-time firearm instructor at an agency or regional training academy. Prior experience on a law enforcement tactical or SWAT team highly desirable. Prior competitions experience in PPC, IDPA, IPSC, or 3-Gun Competitions desired.
Position functions in a fast paced work environment with minimal direct supervision. Occasional local and national travel and weekend work required. Physical ability to negotiate steps, ladders, stand for extended periods of time and run on occasion required. Ability to lift and carry firearms and/or ammunition containers required. Perform various tactical movements and/or room entry methods. Update Clubs & Associations database with prospect information. Coordinate task for developing and updating promotional materials, database needs, correspondence and special projects. Assist Marketing manager in developing and updating promotional tools

Generate prospect list on a monthly basis, work with recruiters on prospect list, update database with prospect information and process payments to the recruiters as clubs renew or affiliate.

NRA Advancement Officer - Gifts of Firearms

Description:
Develop strategies, implement, grow, and manage the Gifts of Firearms Program. Provide support to all fundraising staff to identify, solicit, and steward donors/prospects interested in making a gifts of firearms. Build positive relationships with major and planned gift prospects and donors for the benefit of the National Rifle Association. Participate as a member of the Advancement team to build the Advancement program according to individual talents and skills.
Implement marketing strategies to build upon and expand the existing Gifts of Firearms Program. Write and submit policy guidelines relative to the Gifts of Firearms Program for consideration and approval by the Gift Acceptance Committee. Facilitate communication among donors, The National Firearms Museum staff, designated auction houses, Advancement Officers, Office of Advancement team members, Gift Acceptance Committee members, and the Director, Strategic Giving. Manage administrative issues for the Gifts of Firearms Program including shipping arrangements, reporting on firearm inventories, proceeds from sales, etc. Facilitate gifts of firearms and consult with the Director of Planned Giving as directed, where the gift or conditions of the gift are outside the stated guidelines of the Gift Acceptance Committee or where the benefit of the gift is questionable for any reason. Develop and adhere to an approved annual budget to provide funding for the efficient accomplishment of assigned tasks.
Required:
Four-year undergraduate degree or ten years combined experience in fundraising with a non-profit or equivalent in
business, financial services or management.
A conversant and knowledgeable facilitator in the area of firearms and gifts of firearms.
Knowledgeable of charitable gifting techniques involving firearms.
Ability to build personal long-term relationships with strategic giving/planned gift prospects and donors.
Willingness to learn the most sophisticated strategic and planned gift fundraising techniques and strategies.
Experience with successful one-on-one cultivation and solicitation of prospects for gifts of $5,000 or similar experience.
Ability to develop and implement dynamic plans to identify, cultivate, and solicit strategic and planned gift prospects.
Ability to use existing MS Office applications for personal administrative support and databases for prospect management.
Ability to travel 10 days per month within.

Designs, implements and coordinates all competitive Action Pistol activities associated with competitive shooting. Coordinate designated activities associated with the National Conventional Pistol Championships, Pistol Regionals, and Pistol Sectionals. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Plans, coordinates and operates, within divisional guidelines, the annual NRA Action Pistol Championships, and when approved the NRA World Action Pistol Championships.
2. Develops, monitors and implements, within Divisional guidelines, the Action Pistol program’s annual budget. Recommends as appropriate adjustments to the budget to the Pistol Manager and the Division Budget Officer
3. Responsible for the daily activities associated with Action Pistol Shooting including, but not limited to: administration, the regional program and other sanctioned tournaments. Establishes, within divisional guidelines, short and intermediate term requirements to support expansion of existing program.
4. Develops and maintains the Action Pistol Distinguished Program in an accurate and timely manner.
5. Develop and coordinate all activities associated with the National Pistol Championships at Camp Perry. Pistol Program Coordinator will assists, as directed, the National Pistol Manager with logistics and staffing requirements for the NRA National Conventional Pistol Championship.
6. Develops, monitors and implements, within Divisional guidelines, the NRA Referee program. Working with Competitive Shooting Division and Education and Training Division staff develops all materials associated with a National Referee Training and Certification program.
7. Develops, monitors and implements, within Divisional guidelines, the NRA Referee program’s annual budget.
8. Works with the National Pistol Manager to design, develop and implement new or expanded NRA pistol programs.
9. Sets achievable tournament goals that reflect growth within all areas of responsibility. Meet or exceed established goals annually.
11. When appointed, acts as a tournament official or a tournament staff member.
12. Performs all duties associated with the position of Secretary, Action Shooting Committee.
13. Performs all other duties as assigned.

High visibility with Competitive Shooting Division staff and key members of the staffs of similar shooting organizations, NRA select Committee members, other NRA Divisions, field representatives, state association and club officials and selected members from industry. Tactical Rifle Program Coordinator

Description:
Under the supervision of the National Manager, High Power Rifle Programs, research, develop and implement new NRA Tactical Rifle Programs. Assist the National Manager, High Power Rifle Programs in the coordination of all High Power, High Power Long Range, Fullbore and Tactical Rifle National and International Palma (World Long Range) programs and activities associated with competition.
Act independently, with full responsibility for many Department programs under overall direction of the National Manager. In close coordination with the National Manager, High Power Rifle, assist in the daily management of all NRA High Power Tactical programs and traditional High Power programs as time allows. Working within Competitive Shooting Division guidelines, develop new tactical rifle shooting competitions. The objective and goal of any new program will be to develop competitions that will draw large numbers of competitors to NRA sanctioned tactical rifle matches across the country. Work within traditional NRA High Power Rifle Programs to bring in new tactical rifle equipment and courses of fire that will enhance existing programs and increase participation. Assist the National Manager compile and maintain complete and accurate National Rifle Records and initiates National Records recognition procedures. Accurately maintains database and provides recognition for High Masters and Honorary Club Awards and State Championships recipients. Assist the National Manager review, analyze, and approve all High Power tournament programs sent from Tournament Operations in a timely manner. Proof all applicable Coming Events slips, in an accurate and timely manner. Assist in the coordination of activities and helps establish requirements in the development of the Department's budget within divisional guidelines. Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering of awards for High Power Championships and achievement programs as directed. Researches, compiles, reviews, edits and drafts program promotional materials as directed.
High visibility with all NRA Divisions, national and international shooting organizations, NRA membership, State Associations and local Clubs. Some local and national travel required. Some weekend work may be required. Position requires the lifting and carrying of items not to exceed 50 lbs.

Background in Tactical Rifle competition, stage design and event development is essential.
